Toys "R" Us pulls toy sets for lead, laceration dangers

Toys "R" Us is recalling about 128,700 military toy sets because they pose a safety hazard to young children, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday.

The Elite Operations toy sets have been found to contain high levels of lead, which can be toxic to young children. The CPSC also noted the toys have many sharp points, which could cause lacerations.

The recall involves the Super Rigs Transport Vehicle (item number 087286), Command Patrol Center (item number 920625) and Troop Carrier (item number 773967).

The toy sets were sold at Toys "R" Us stores across the U.S. and on its website from January 2006 through February 2007 for between $15 and $30 US.

Consumers should take the toys away from children and return them for a full credit.
