Pregnancy test recall

Durex Canada is recalling its Confirm Clearly Smart Pregnancy Test due to a higher-than-expected rate of consumer complaints reporting false positive and "inconsistent" results.

The company says there has been a number of cases in which the test confirmed pregnancy when the woman
was not in fact pregnant.

The test works by detecting the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine a woman's body produces during pregnancy.

Durex has suspended the test's distribution and is removing it from the retail market.

Any Canadian consumer or retailer with unused product may return it to the following address:
