- By Peter Hadzipetros
Two Sandwich Factory brand steak subs distributed in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick contain undisclosed egg protein, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency says.
People with egg protein allergies should avoid the sandwiches, and the manufacturer, Atlantic Prepared Foods Ltd. of Alberton, P.E.I., is recalling the subs, the agency said.
The packages affected by the alert are:
Steak Works Sub, sold in a 160-gram package, UPC 6 21809 00012 3.
Super Steak Sub, sold in a 150-gram package, UPC 6 21809 00013 0
No illnesses have been reported from eating the sandwiches.
