Children's rings recalled for lead poisoning hazard

About 115,000 Claudi Jublot rings are being recalled because they contain high levels of lead, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Friday.
The recall involves silver rings with fake diamond clusters. The ring's packaging was marked with the UPC number 1524100121266045.
The rings were sold at Big Lots! stores in the U.S. from October 2004 through January 2006 for about $3 each.
Children absorb lead more easily than adults and are therefore more vulnerable to poisoning. Exposure to high levels of lead can cause vomiting, diarrhea, convulsions, coma or death. Symptoms include anemia, appetite loss, abdominal pain, constipation, fatigue, sleeplessness, irritability and headache.
No associated injuries or incidents have been reported.
