Travel'N hair dryers recalled for electrocution danger
- January 24, 2007 4:45 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
About 18,000 Travel'N baby mini hair dryers are recalled from the marketplace, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Wednesday.
The hair dryers were not outfitted with an immersion protection plug to prevent electrocution if the unit falls into water.
No associated incident or injuries have been reported. The dryers were sold at beauty supply stores and salons across the U.S. and online at metropolisbeauty.com from January 2005 for about $20 US.
People should stop using the dryers and contact the manufacturer for a replacement.
