Target recalls baby rattles, ornaments from marketplace

Target is recalling about 460,000 plush baby rattles and frame ornaments because they could pose a danger to young children, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Thursday.

Small pieces of the rattles and frames can snap off, posing a choking danger to children. The plastic rings on the rattles can also break, exposing jagged and sharp points, the CPSC said.

The company has received 11 reports of pieces coming off the products. No injuries have been reported.

The recall involves rattles and frames sold in the "See. Spot. Save. Section" of Target stores.

The items were sold at Target stores in the U.S. from November 2006 through December 2006 for $1 US.

Consumers should stop using the products and return them to the store.
