About 500 storage trunks sold through Home Decorators Collection are being recalled from the marketplace, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
A clasp on the leather trunks can snap closed and lock expectedly. If a child climbs inside the trunk, they may not be able to get out, the CPSC warned.
No associated injuries have been reported, the CPSC said.
The recall involves the large, medium, small trunks with the catalogue numbers 3755910150, 3755910150 and 3755900150.
The trunks were sold through Home Decorators Collection stores, catalogues and online at www.homedecorators.com from January 2006 through November 2006 for between $60 and $190 US.
Consumers should stop using the trunk, remove it from the reach of children, and contact the company for a replacement.
