Pumpkin candle holders recalled for laceration danger
- January 17, 2007 4:31 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
About 25,500 pumpkin-shaped candle holders are being recalled because they may shatter or crack, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Wednesday.
The candle holders were promoted on television by QVC and were sold online, over the phone, and in select stores in the U.S. from September 2006 through November 2006 for between $45 and $50 US.
The company has received 85 reports of the product cracking or shattering. Two people reported suffering minor lacerations to their hands.
Consumers should stop using the candle holders and contact the company for a refund.
