An allergy alert issued in December for President's Choice brand pork and ham pâté was updated Wednesday by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
The original recall involved 150-g packages of cognac-flavoured pork and ham pâté with a best-before date up to and including Feb. 15, 2007. The federal agency says the recall now also applies to pâté with a best before-date of March 2, 2007.
The earlier recall said people with allergies to egg proteins should not eat the pâté because the manufacturer failed to list the ingredient on its label. The packages are marked with a UPC 0 60383 11327 8.
The product was distributed in Ontario and the Atlantic provinces.
No associated illnesses have been reported.
