Holmes Oscillating Tower Fans recalled for fire hazard
- January 24, 2007 4:44 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
About 300,000 Holmes Oscillating Tower Fans are being recalled from the marketplace, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Wednesday.
Faulty wiring in the fan could cause a fire, the CPSC said. The Holmes Group has received 16 reports of property damage and one report of minor injury.
The recall involves the Holmes HT30 tower fans, which were sold at retailers across the United States from July 2002 through June 2005 for about $30 US.
People should stop using the fans and contact the company for a replacement.
