Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has recalled more than 70,000 Christmas mug gift sets, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Tuesday.
The $5 US sets include a mug and a plush character, a Santa, reindeer or snowman. Each character has one red and one green button sewn on the front, which could come off and pose a choking risk to small children, the CPSC says.
There are no reported injuries.
The Holiday Time Christmas Mug Gift Sets have DanDee COLLECTOR'S CHOICE and the product's UPC number printed on the character's sewn-in labels. UPC numbers are as follows: Santa 0 47475 45419 8,
Snowman 0 47475 45429 7, Reindeer 0 47475 45439 6. Holiday Time is printed on the character's hang tag.
Consumers should take the plush characters away from small children and contact the company for a refund.
