Recall: Phil & Teds e3 Strollers recalled for safety hazard

About 14,300 Phil & Teds e3 strollers with double seats are being recalled, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Wednesday.

When the additional seat is added to a stroller, a child can touch the back tires and get injured, the commission said.

The manufacturer, Real Lager, has received one report of a child scraping his arm after touching the moving rear tire.

The strollers were sold at baby furniture and baby products stores across the U.S. and by internet retailers from July 2005 through November 2006 for about $380 US each.

Consumers should stop using the additional seat in the lower position and contact the company for wheel guards.
