About 97,000 pumpkin decorating kits are being recalled because they pose a choking hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced.
The Mr. Potato Head “Make a Monster Pumpkin,” Mr. Potato Head “Make a Fireman Pumpkin,” and Mrs. Potato Head “Make a Diva Pumpkin” were sold at Target stores in the U.S. from September through October 2006 for about $5 US.
The kits, manufactured by the Paper Magic Group, are labelled for children ages two and older. However, products with small parts are prohibited for sale for children under the age of three because they pose a choking danger.
Consumers should stop using the kits, which contain small decorating parts, and return the product for a full refund.
There have been no related incidents of injury.
