ITT Water Technology Inc. recalls faulty water pumps
- October 25, 2006 5:10 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced an expanded recall of faulty pumps for fire suppression systems.
About 3,000 Goulds Pumps, Bell & Gossett , and Red Jacket Water brand pumps for fire suppression systems are being added to an earlier recall in August 2006. The commission reported a loose connection on the pumps can lead to malfunction during use.
The pumps were sold from December 2005 through September 2006.
Installers of fire suppression systems should contact the company for an inspection and replacement.
