- By Peter Hadzipetros
Wal-Mart is recalling about 165,000 of its Home Trends Wood Footstools, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced.
The stools, which were sold from December 2005 through September 2006, were improperly constructed and can break and collapse.
The company has received nine incident reports of the stools breaking along with seven reports of injuries.
Footstools with the UPC number 87065900001, displayed on a sticker underneath the step, are included in the recall.
Consumers should return the product for a full refund.
