LEGO recalls toy trucks due to puncture hazard

About 358,000 LEGO Explore Super Trucks are being recalled because they pose a puncture hazard to young children, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has advised.

The commission advised that plastic wheels on the truck can unfasten, exposing a metal axle. LEGO Systems has received 10 reports of wheels detaching. Two children suffered serious puncture injures from the exposed axle. Another child fell when the wheel came loose.

The LEGO trucks were sold from August 2002 through August 2004 for about $20.

Consumers are advised to stop using the trucks immediately and contact the company for a refund.
