Health Canada advises farmers about proper dosage of veterinary drug
Health Canada has issued an advisory warning farmers that the veterinary drug Selenium-E may have been sold without correct dosage information.
When administered incorrectly, the drug may cause adverse reactions or death in animals. The drug is used to treat calves and lambs suffering from a white muscle disease.
The Canadian manufacturer of the drug, Vétoquinol N.-A. Inc., has proper dosage information on new bottles. Any bottles purchased without this information should be returned to the place of purchase.
