Delta Combination water heaters recalled
- September 7, 2006 11:38 AM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of the Delta Performance and Delta Performance Plus Series Combination Water Heaters.
The burner plate and flue hood seal on the water heaters were improperly sealed and can leak carbon monoxide.
The manufacturer Triangle Tube has received one report of a flue leak but no injuries have been reported.
Consumers should stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a free repair.
Plumbing and heating wholesale companies sold about 3,000 water heaters to independent plumbing and heating contractors from August 2001 to January 2006 for about $3,500.
