Steel Dome fireplaces recalled because of fire hazard
- August 29, 2006 12:51 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of "Garden Treasures" Steel Dome Fireplaces because paint on the exterior can pose a fire hazard. No injuries have been reported, but there have been two incidents of the exterior paint catching fire. Consumers are advised to stop using the fireplaces immediately and return them to Lowe's for a full refund.
