We're rolling down to the last minute to submit questions to the foodie figure, who will be in Toronto this September for what is so far the sole Canadian stop on his latest book tour.
If I were meeting the controversial and passionate Bourdain, I'd want to know:
- Whether during his world travels for his TV shows, he found any difference in the way different cultures view food and eating (as compared to the North American view).
- His most memorable eating experiences: who was with him, what was he eating, when was it, where was it and why it made such an impression.
- As someone who has tasted so many unusual foods, what his ultimate meal would be.
- His thoughts on the state of cuisine in North America, where terms like "foodie" and "locavore" are so prominently tossed around and - with now so many food-related blogs, books and TV shows - so much attention placed on food and eating well.
