Laser lemon, screamin' green – make way for super happy and giving tree, the newest crayons to be included in the Crayola 64 Box.
To mark the 50th anniversary of the Crayola 64 box, the company on Wednesday announced a new collection of eight colours chosen by children.
Giving tree replaces the older screamin' green and reflects children's growing interest in the environment. Super happy bumps laser lemon, wild tangerine becomes fun in the sun, beaver is now known as bear hug, turquoise blue becomes happy ever after, famous replaces hot magenta and orchid becomes best friends.
“When it comes to kids and colour, bright and bold is in fashion,” said Keith Allison, Crayola colour chemist, in a release. “This vivid collection of colours, including several fluorescent hues, draws on kids’ fascination with bright shades.”
