New business program keeps students on the ball

A new business course that incorporates the tactics of Tiger Woods and the deal-making skills of Donald Trump aims to teach students how to conduct business on the greens of a golf course.
The continuing education program, being offered at the Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning in Oakville, Ont., and Kaneff Golf, provides instruction on golf etiquette, with the goal of ensuring the game remains friendly and unintimidating.
"Doing business on the golf course is a tricky affair," Boris Uvakov, vice-president of Kaneff Golf, said in a release.
"You've got to remember that you're out for five hours with these people and an improper pitch can make for a very long day and blown opportunities."
