Disney turns to primping princess brides

Walt Disney Co. is pulling back the veil on a new line of bridal gowns inspired by its fairy-tale films.
The company debuted its collection of 34 gowns, created by designer Kirstie Kelley, at a New York fashion show on Saturday. Kelley crafted the dresses, which range in price from $1,500 to $3,000 US, to resemble the frocks worn by heroines in films including Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast.
The company said that if the line is successful, it may consider branching out into Princess-themed fashions and home furnishings.
Disney is already a contender in the competitive bridal business, hosting about 2,000 couples each year at its resorts and on its cruises.
