Three years ago it was just an idea. Build a show - make it a platform for everyday people you don't see on TV anymore: people who don't just watch the news, people who ARE the news. Because we all relate to people like us: our friends, neighbours and family. We called it "Connect" with the hope you wouldn't just watch the show, you'd feel it, experience it, like a relationship. And then that relationship started to build. And more of you watched, commented, and cared. And all of us on Connect felt we were making inroads, making an impact, making a difference. All because of you. But now, like any relationship, breaking up is hard to do.
All of us at Connect want to thank you for all the emails, Tweets and Facebook messages you've sent since we learned we were being cancelled for budgetary reasons. We are overwhelmed. We are comforted. We are heartbroken to have to say goodbye.

I grew up in Montreal, where, instead of "au revoir" (farewell) people use the term "à la prochaine," which means 'til the next time we see each other. So thank you all for your support. And...à la prochaine.
But don't forget, we're still on the air until June 22nd - and we hope you'll stay connected.
