Occupying Wall Street and Occupying Canada?
We're following the Occupy Wall Street movement today in the U.S. as protesters continue to camp out in New York's Zuccotti Park. Police showed up early this morning with plans to evict them, but so far that hasn't happened. We'll be following the story throughout the day.
Many of the protesters claim to represent 99% of the population, standing up against the 1% most affluent. In the past few days, some people from that 1% have joined the protests. We'll talk to one of them tonight.
Plus, protests are planned for Canada this weekend. Our government says the situation here is different than south of the border: lower unemployment, better social programs and a more stable financial system. But does that really matter to protesters?
Tune in tonight at 8 p.m. ET on CBC News Network.
