Alleged child abductor Randall Hopley was in court today. The judge has ordered a psychiatric evaluation before his next court appearance in November. We'll have the latest details from the courtroom and we're also taking a closer look at Paul Hebert's question left unanswered - why was Randall Hopley roaming free in the first place? We'll talk to Jim Stephenson - his 11-year old son Christopher was murdered by a known sex offender in 1988. Stephenson shares his personal story of loss as well as his insight into how offenders like Hopley return to society.

Plus, from Europe on the edge, to American job woes, to the 'R' word looming here at home. Are we going to be able to weather this storm? Tonight we talk to an underemployed father of four about what it's like to lose your status as a member of the American middle-class.

And, inside an Iranian prison. As two Americans wait for their freedom we'll talk to someone who knows what they're going through.

Reshmi is hosting tonight. Tune in at 8 p.m. ET on CBC NN.
