A minute of silence was observed at the White House, the U.S. Capitol building and the New York Stock Exchange today for the victims of Saturday's shooting in Arizona. Tonight, the new intern who helped save Gabrielle Giffords's life joins us on the show. Mark also speaks to a survivor of the Virginia Tech massacre who was shot four times and is now using his personal experience to help reframe the gun control debate in the US.

This Wednesday marks the one year anniversary of the earthquake that destroyed Haiti. Tonight, a look at Haiti then and now. Have things gotten better for the country, at all?
