Our show on 1.11.11 starts in Arizona, where guns are a way of life. The state doesn't require a permit to carry a concealed weapon, but if you do have such a permit, you can take your gun into a restaurant or a bar. Just last year, Representative Gabrielle Giffords told the New York Times, "I have a Glock 9 millimeter, and I'm a pretty good shot." Tonight, why the second amendment is sacred, especially in places like Arizona. We also speak to a friend of Gabrielle Giffords.

On the eve of the one year anniversary of Haiti's earthquake, CBC's Paul Hunter has the latest from Port-au-Prince and VJ John Northcott meets a Toronto Haitian man who lost 12 family members in the quake.
