Happy Canada Day!
Over the next two nights here on Connect we're celebrating Canadians making their mark here at home and around the world.
Tonight, it's Canada at war. As we get ready to leave Afghanistan we talk to Canada's top solider, General Walter Natynczyk. And Master Corporal Jody Mitic knows the cost of war. He lost both his legs in Afghanistan in 2007 but three years later he's running marathons and just as passionate about our mission in Afghanistan today as he was when he was first deployed. His dream? To go back.
Plus, we're launching a new segment here on Connect. Tonight, Mike Holmes helps kick things off. Tune in to find out how you can become a Champion of Change.
Now, you can't talk about making your mark on this country without talking about the Olympics. In Vancouver, Jon Montgomery brought home the gold for Canada. All it took was sliding head first down a steep ice hill. Montgomery is here tonight with a special message for Canadians on our 143rd birthday.
Also, David Suzuki joins us for a special edition of Ask Me Anything.
Tune in tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBC NN.
