Five Questions is a feature on the newsroom blog that profiles people on the Connect team. This week, editor Farhan Ahmad answers five questions.

How did you get into editing?

I moved to Toronto 18 years ago from Halifax with the goal of getting into film or TV. I had no idea what role I wanted to play, but at Rogers Cable 10, I just fell into editing. It felt like sculpting to me and I loved it. I do want to do everything else, but editing is an amazing starting off point.

You're also a mixed martial arts fighter. What does your training involve?
When we train, we push ourselves beyond our limits. You need to really dig deep and face who you are and how you've lived your life. You also need to keep an open mind and to stay calm under extreme pressure.
