Omar Khadr is innocent and no body can deny that. What the government has left is a young boy whom they knowingly abandoned and unjustly turned away. The only visible characteristic I see Omar having which makes him so dreadful is that he is a Muslim. I am scared to say that many people are coming to such thought and reality. The government should step up and help this poor man before things get worst for him. May God guide him to remain strong and guide the government to do what it was meant for - justice and security for all.
regardless of the rights or wrongs over the issue of kidnapping, so-called rendition and the torturing a 15 year old youth ..... Canadian citizenship is not worth the paper on which it is written..
If one goes through history, northern Europeans have periodically blamed followers of Mohammad for a variety of evils. To this day, Islamophobia persists and acted out by those who take actions committed against those "CXhristian: nations as being the work of the faith and not of those who use their religion as a justification.
There is a difference between a religion and it's followers. One cannot blame a religion for the actions of extremists who use their corrupt view of their religion as justification for hate, violence and bigotry.
Islam does not promote hate and terrorism anymore than Christianity though both have extremists blaming their corrupt and evil behavior on their "faith".
Christianity has been used to support wars, murder, rape, government take overs, slavery, theft and destruction. Islam has as well.
The vast majority of followers of BOTH religions find these behaviors dispicable.
Unfortunately we are in a phase of worldwide Islamophobia - blaming the innocent for the corrupt few....
Welcome to the Spanish Inquisition Part 2
USA are a big bunch of bullies.
Why should god guide him? Perhaps Allah could, given he is likely a Muslim person, or of Muslim descent. Why this doesn't appear to be occuring too well is beyond my comprehension.
