The World Urban Forum & Earth: The World Urban Festival

The
United Nations Human Settlement Programme, also know as
UN-HABITAT, brings its third World Urban Forum to Vancouver
between from June 19 to June 23.
Every two years, WUF brings together
governments, agencies, community groups and non-governmental
and international organizations. The forum focuses on balancing
urban expansion against environmental impacts and the growth
of urban poverty in cities.

A UNESCO-designated arts festival, Earth:
The World Urban Festival, runs from June 21 to June 25.
It presents international theatre, dance, music and visual
arts events at Earth Village, a festival grounds set in
an industrial park.
