La Station
La Station is a gas station on Montreal's Ile des Soeurs, built in 1968.
But not just a regular corner gas station.
This one was designed by the legendary modern architect Mies van der Rohe. (Learn more about Mies here.)
It closed in 2008, and has now been repurposed as a community centre.
Éric Gauthier is an architect with the firm FABG in Montreal.
He took on the task of redesigning a building created by his professional idol.
