Prizing

For Champions of Change season two, the commitment to change made by the top 10 finalists will be honoured with a donation to each winner's choice of charity or cause.

In addition, CBC News will be giving these extraordinary Canadians the chance of a lifetime to bring attention to the issue that matters to them most, telling their stories on TV, radio and online.

For season one, your Champions of Change were Bob Davisson and Bobby Hayes. Both Winners and the other top 10 finalists were honoured during the Champions of Change Finale that aired Sunday, January 16, 2011.

Manulife Financial recognized both the international winner Bob Davisson and the national winner Bobby Hayes  with $25,000 each for their causes. The remaining eight champions each received $10,000, donated to their organizations, as did Nicole Messier was the recipient of the 2010 Judges' Award. which honoured one special nominee for exemplifying the volunteer spirit which lies at the core of Champions of Change.
