Well, we've reached an important milestone in our campaign to generate nominations for Canada's Champions of Change. We've just tallied up the most recent stats and we've topped the 1 000 mark. Thanks to all of you for getting involved, and shining a light on some incredible Canadians.
As get closer to the deadline (September 30) we figured we would pass along some useful information for those who have yet to nominate and for those who want to nominate again.
The category of International: Environment is struggling. So if you've got a volunteer who works to protect or promote Mother Earth, there's no better time to get their name in.
Another category that could really use a boost is Canada: Housing and Infrastructure. So if you know someone building homes, playgrounds or improving the infrastructure in any way in your community, nominate 'em.
It takes no more than half an hour of your time and can really make a difference for someone out there who is making a difference. Remember, if your nominee is chosen as a Champion of Change, prize money go the charity of their choice.
