In two paragraphs describe why your candidate is an outstanding volunteer, or why you think his or her work is extraordinary:

Cathy is unstinting in her commitment to alerting her community, and her country, about the dangers of climate change while there is still time to make a difference. She makes the connections between climate change and how we live, including the food we eat, the way we get around, and the kind of communities we live in, and she devotes time and energy to various local groups promoting sustainability. Cathy cares passionately about the future that her daughters, and all children will inherit.

How many people does your candidate's volunteerism impact?

More than 100 people

If applicable, describe in 2 paragraphs or less the story of why your candidate became involved with volunteering:

Cathy's volunteerism flows naturally from her commitment to her family and her love for the natural world. Cathy feels that she has lived a privileged life here in Canada, and she wants to ensure all Canadian children have access to an equally wonderful life. 

In your opinion, what impact will winning Canada's Champions of Change have on your candidate, or his/her volunteering effort?

While Cathy is already quite wellknown in her community, this recognition would would help her to continue to shed light on the issue of climate change, and the charity she would donate to would be to bring more science programs to First Nation youths.
