Here are some usages:

Peser ses mots : To weigh your words
Il faut peser ses mots : You have to weigh your words/choose your words carefully
Se peser : To weigh yourself
Je me pèse chaque semaine : I weigh myself every week
Ne pas peser lourd : (fig) To not carry much weight
Ton idée ne pèse pas lourd : Your idea is weak/doesn't carry much weight
Ça va peser dans la balance : That will carry some weight in the decision
Ça ne pèsera pas dans la balance : That will not carry any weight in the decision
Il faut peser le pour et le contre : You have to weigh the pros and cons
Tout bien pesé : All things considered
Tu pèses* sur le bouton : You press/push on the button (In international usage you would say Appuyer sur le bouton)
Peser* sur le piton* : To press on the button
Mon lunch me pesait sur l'estomac : My lunch was hard to digest
Ça pèse lourd/peu : It's heavy/light
Elles ne pèsent rien : They weigh nothing
Elles ne sont pas pesantes : They aren't heavy
L'hiver me pèse : Winter is getting me down
Tout bien pesé : All things considered
