Louise Penny is a New York Times best selling author. She lives in Quebec and writes in English.
Her books have been translated into a dozen languages. But until last year, they had not been translated in French.
This week on the Best of C'est la vie hear how a Governor General award winning translator made it his personal mission to change that.

"En Pleine Coeur", the translation of "Still Life" by Louise Penny, was translated by Michel Saint-Germain and is published by Flammarion Québec.
Louise's second novel, "Dead Cold" was translated as "Sous la glace".
Her third novel, the "Cruellest Month", is coming out mid August as "Le Mois le plus cruel".
"Suivez La Piste: A Detective Thriller in French in 25 Short Episodes", is the language learning series that Johanne Blais mentioned.
