This week on C'est we rediscover an historic raft trip across the Atlantic.

It was made by three Frenchmen, immigrants to Canada after the second world war.

Meet one of the men on the raft... and a sailor from Newfoundland, who intercepted them off the Grand Banks.

Katimavik volunteers in Potton, Quebec.

In the last federal budget, the government cancelled Katimavik.

The program sent young people out across the country to do volunteer work.

They gained work and life experience while helping out in communities.

This week on C'est la vie, we'll meet some of the last Katimavik volunteers.... and the Quebec community that has welcomed them for more than 30 years.
