Federal Liberal Aboriginal Affairs Critic on the Ongoing Qalipu Mi'Kmaq Membership Fight

The federal government's Bill C-25 is progressing through parliament very quickly. The bill will govern membership of the Qalipu Mi'Kmaq band, and includes a provision that will prevent people from suing if their membership is denied or revoked.

Those opposed to the bill include many applicants to Qalipu, lawyers and other aboriginal groups.

Caroline Bennett is adding her voice to those against C-25. She's the Liberal Member of Parliament for St.Paul's in Toronto and she's the Liberal critic for aboriginal affairs.
