Salmon Advocate Accuses Aquaculture industry

Animal farms are messy operations.They produce tons of manure and offal that need to be disposed of. Farmers also have to properly administer and control pesticides and antibiotics animals need to stay healthy.There are tight regulations governing those things.

Now, take that farm and put it in the ocean.

There are similar problems, and there are regulations, but critics say some fish farms in this province aren't following them properly. Bill Bryden is a salmon advocate and researcher. We speak to him from his home in Lumsden.
