Newly-Elected Qalipu Vice Chief Randy Drover Talks About His Band's Future

The Qalipu Mi'kmaq First Nation Band election held on Tuesday was a first for the landless band. It was created more than a year ago, and Brendan Sheppard, who had been the interim Chief, was elected to that position.

Also voted into office were two vice-chiefs and nine ward councillors. Among those councillors are Andy Barker from Exploits and Francis Skeard of Glenwood.

Randy Drover is the new Vice Chief for Central Newfoundland. He lives in Bishop's Falls
