Great Canadian Job Interview

On June 4th, Heather Hiscox hosted a live special on CBC Newsworld that gave young people the opportunity to ask two of the candidates running for prime minister what qualified them for the job.

Coordinated by Student Vote 2004, the forum was designed to bring young citizens into the discussion about the future of their country. Some of the questioners were flown in to St. John's from across Canada to ask the questions themselves. The questions touched on a wide variety of topics, from personal preferences and family life, to a party's stance on an election issue.

Questions from the special are featured below.

For the first question, both candidates were asked why they wanted the job of Prime Minister of Canada.
