Riding Profile
 Riding Map

This large riding in southwestern Ontario borders on Lake Huron's western shore. It contains Huron County and part of Bruce County and the communities of Kincardine, Wingham, Goderich and Saugeen Shores, formerly Port Elgin and Southampton.

The large Bruce Nuclear Power Development outside Kincardine is an important economic force in the area. Agriculture is the main industry. Huron County is one of Ontario's main producers of cash crops such as white beans, and Bruce County is a beef-producing area.

Many residents commute to the Kitchener-Waterloo and London areas for employment. Tourism is also a significant employer. Average family income is $64,499 and unemployment is four per cent.

In 2004, the riding boundary was extended farther north to take in part of Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound. The riding of Huron-Bruce was created in the 1976 redistribution from portions of Huron-Middlesex and Bruce ridings.
