There are 38 MPs in the cabinet, 28 men and ten women.
The cabinet has only been in place since the Martin government took office December 2003, so many are still new to their portfolios.
All of them are running in this election. Ontario has the biggest representation in cabinet: 17 ministers.
Quebec follows with nine. New Brunswick, Manitoba and British Columbia have two each.
And the remaining provinces plus the Northwest Territories have one minister each.
