Vaughan stabbing leaves 1 dead, 2 wounded

Last Updated: Saturday, March 20, 2010 | 5:27 PM ET

A Toronto man is dead and two others are injured after a fight broke out outside a club in Vaughan, Ont., early Saturday morning, police say.

Police responded to a call about an altercation in the parking lot outside the Coconut Lounge on Steeles Avenue West around 3:30 a.m. ET. When officers arrived on the scene, they found three men had been stabbed.

All three were taken to Toronto-area hospitals; one died of his injuries.

Police have identified the deceased as Roger Samaroo, 26, of Toronto.

Two other Toronto men — a 26-year-old and 22-year-old — suffered non-life threatening injuries and have been released from hospital.

Police are interviewing witnesses and patrons of the Coconut Lounge, said York Regional Police Sgt. Larry Wilson.

Wilson asked anyone with information about the stabbings to contact York Regional Police.
