Wiggles the piglet recovering after tumble from truck

(Photo courtesy Toronto Humane Society)Staff at the Toronto Humane Society are calling her "Wiggles" because of her tendency to squirm, but her greatest proclivity might be the lucky bounce.
Wiggles is a little piglet who fell off the back of a transport truck on busy Highway 401 on Monday.
"It was one of those transport trucks with holes in the side to give cattle and livestock ventilation. So she managed to make her way through it. She's only a very small pig — she's only two or three months old, she's only 10 pounds — so she could have made her way through that and fell out onto the road," said Humane Society spokesman Ian McConachie.
A driver following the truck saw the piglet fall and pulled over to help.
Brian Bowes picked up the injured pig, wrapped her in a blanket and took her to the Humane Society shelter on River Street.
She was examined by veterinarians and found to have a broken leg.
Wiggles will need surgery to repair her leg when she's stronger.
Humane Society officials said Wiggles won't be put up for adoption and will probably end up in a petting zoo once she's fully recovered.
