A justice of the peace approved bail Thursday for a second of the terrorism suspects arrested in Toronto last month.
The bail conditions will see Ahmad Ghany, 21, await trial confined to his parents' Mississauga home.
The deal makes Ghany the second of the so-called "Toronto 17" — and the first adult in the group of accused — to be freed on bail.

Ghany's lawyer and the Crown came to an agreement on house arrest before the bail hearing in Brampton. Justice of the peace Hilda Weiss then accepted the joint recommendation.
The reasons for the decision cannot be revealed because of a sweeping publication ban.
Among Ghany's bail conditions, which are not covered by the publication ban, is a financial guarantee for $140,000.
Other bail conditions include:
- Living with his parents and abiding by their rules.
- Reporting to Toronto police every Monday.
- Not possessing firearms or ammunition.
- Not communicating with his co-accused.
- Only leaving the house unaccompanied to attend work, school, court, a hospital or his lawyer's office.
Ghany is a recent health sciences graduate from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ont., who was born in Canada. His father, a medical doctor, emigrated to Canada from Trinidad and Tobago in 1955.
He is charged with knowingly participating in or contributing to activity of a terrorist group, and with receiving training with a terrorist group.
Ghany was among five youths and 12 adults arrested in a series of raids in southern Ontario on June 2 and 3.
The bail decision came less than a week after one of his co-accused was granted bail. Last Friday, one of the youths, who cannot be identified because of his age, was released with what his lawyer called "stringent conditions."
The Crown, defence lawyer Rocco Galati and Ghany's family members all refused to comment on the decision to grant Ghany bail.
Ghany is scheduled to appear in court next on Aug. 28.
