A farm in east-central Saskatchewan was the site of what police describe as a sophisticated marijuana grow operation.
Police raided the place on Tuesday and arrested a man in his late 30s.
RCMP reported Thursday that they found an indoor space that was "set up for continuous cropping" of marijuana plants.
The operation was on a farm near the community of Buchanan, 25 kilometres west of Canora.
Canora is about 230 kilometres northeast of Regina.
According to police, they took away 625 marijuana plants.
"A grow of this size had the potential to produce 156 pounds of marijuana, which would be enough to affect 100 heavy marijuana users for 700 days," RCMP Sgt. Terry Wilson noted in a media release.
Police did not identify the man arrested in the case, but said he was facing a number of drug-related charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The man is also accused of stealing electricity.
Police said the accused is due in court in Preeceville, Sask., on Nov. 23.
