Man seriously stabbed in Saskatoon home

One man was seriously stabbed, and another injured, in a home near Saskatoon's Mayfair area early Sunday, police said.

Police received an emergency call around 4:20 a.m. CT and went to a residence in the 1200 block of Idylwyld Drive North, assistant Staff Sgt. Kim Boechler said.

Inside the home, officers found a 26-year-old man suffering from several injuries. Boechler said some of the wounds were life-threatening.

Another man, 24, was also found suffering from minor injuries.

Boechler said both men were taken to Royal University Hospital for treatment. No other information about the men was released.

Investigators in the major crimes unit are investigating. No information about potential suspects was provided.
